Recently, The Wall Street Journal reported about how telemedicine can save money, using technology available since the '70s. Doctors can read electrocardiograms, blood pressure levels and x-rays of certain patients' ailments from areas not easily obtainable in person.Telemedicine is getting more attention all the time, and I say, it is about time. I don't even want to think about how many times this process could have already been used, since the '70s. But I will happily jump-start others: Think floods, hurricanes, or tsunamis. The possibilities are endless and it will save thousands of lives and dollars! Even with the supposed limitations of not actually being there, it is better than nothing.
